What if I'm not home to accept delivery?
Depending on the item ordered and the courier/delivery company delivering your order. Most couriers will try up to 3 times to deliver. Some may take it to a local depot/local post office for you to collect within a certain amount of time. If you do not re-arrange a delivery or collect your parcel from a local depot/post office, we will contact you for further instructions and may charge reasonable storage costs and any further delivery costs. If we are unable to get in contact with you or your delivery does not get re-arranged/collected then we may end the contract and may deduct incurred costs associated with the failed delivery from any refund due.
Some couriers allow you to directly reschedule/leave in a safe place/or with a neighbour via the couriers' tracking service. For larger/high-value items/some couriers, it may not be viable or possible to leave your order in a safe place. If you arrange to have your parcel(s) left in a safe place/with a neighbour, then we, Mix.co.uk cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to your parcel(s).
Pallet/direct/2-man deliveries are usually scheduled directly with you, the customer, on a date when you can accept the delivery. If for any reason these types of deliveries fail, you will be contacted via either the courier/supplier or us to arrange re-delivery at a date when someone is in to accept the delivery.
(Please note that re-delivery fees may apply).
